Synthetic Sapphire is single crystal form of Aluminium Oxide (Al2O3). It exhibits unique physical and chemical properties like high temperature resistance, thermal shocks resistance, high strength, scratch resistance, low dielectric loss and good electrical insulation. Being an oxide it is also resistant to any kind corrosion due to moisture. Sapphire wafer have wide optical transmission range from UV to infrared region that is 150 to 6000 nm and due to its high strength its thickness can be suitably reduced to small level without breaking it, so can be used very close to its transmission range. Our Sapphire substrates are manufactured using Kyropoulos method which result in high quality product. We offer both single side polished and double side polished (optically transparent) wafers with 5 different Crystal orientation namely A plane, R plane, C plane and M plane. Each plane of sapphire have different properties and find use in different applications like C-plane sapphire substrates are widely used to grow GaN thin films for laser diode and blue led applications. And R-Plane substrates are widely used for heteroepitaxial growth of Silicon films for electronic applications. The wafer comes in different sizes: 2 Inch, 3 Inch, 4 Inch, 5 Inch, 6 Inch and other customized dimension as per request.
